8 hours of measure with at least 6 hours of Gross Time (tGross) – meaning no more than 25% line external down times (DIN 8783) –is recommended to establish the equipment efficiency.
It will be considered successful if, for one 8 hour period, the stand alone equipment efficiency exceeds X% (value to be previously agreed between the parties) based on the design speed.
Would the measured efficiency be less than the guaranteed efficiency, the performance test will be considered as failed and a new test be conducted.
Procedure for a complete line acceptance
For the contractual main format 8 hours of measurement with at least 6 hours of Gross Time (tGross) – meaning no more than 25% line external down times (DIN 8783) – is recommended by ABMI to establish the Line efficiency.
If required, test duration for the contractual main format can be extended to a max of three (3) 8 hours Acceptance Tests to be conducted within 5 consecutive days of same production (Contractual main format).
The 8 hours period starts only after the line has been fully primed and reached a stable running order. The line must not be emptied before the performance test data acquisition is terminated.
The test will be considered successful if, for the one 8 hour period, the line efficiency exceeds X% (value to be previously agreed between the parties) based on the design speed. Should the test be extended to a max of (3) 8 hours periods, the test will be considered successful if the overall efficiency, over the (3) maximum periods, exceeds X%.
If “Acceptance Tests” are to be conducted on more than one format. 8 hours of measurement with at least 6 hours of Gross Time (tGross) is recommended by ABMI to establish the line efficiency on the specified (contract) additional formats.
